Access to learning is a basic human right.
While conferences have to be sustainable, they must also be inclusive and accessible. The more voices and diverse perspectives we can include, the more we can all learn too. That’s why for the Utterly Content Global Festival, we offer two completely free options for people to attend:

What is included in the scholarship?
Scholarships provide a completely free individual pass to access the whole conference.
Who are scholarships for?
Scholarships are designed to provide access to the festival to people who experience barriers to attendance. This might be for financial reasons, or because they have care commitments or other circumstances that make it difficult to participate in events.
We are especially interested in supporting people who:
Have a disability
Are black, indigenous or a person of colour
Identify as LGBTQ+
Are unemployed or on a low income
Have care commitments to others
Are at the start of a career in content
Work for charities or third sector organisations with no training budget
Live in or have fled from a conflict zone
Have experienced any form of discrimination, bullying or harassment that led to them leaving a role in a content profession
How do I apply?
In order to make our process as accessible as possible, we ask that you fill out the appropriate form which will notify us of your application. All information that you provide will be completely confidential.
The deadline for applications is Monday 18 March 2024 at 11.59pm Pacific time.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by Tuesday 19 March 2024 if their application is successful.

”pay what you can” ticket
For individuals who can afford to contribute something to their Utterly Content ticket but cannot afford the full individual ticket price of £159, we also offer a “pay what you can” ticket option which provides a faster alternative to applying for a scholarship place, and a guaranteed ticket.

Utterly Content scholarships are only possible thanks to the genorosity of our event sponsors and partners. The contributions that they made to our event in 2023 meant that we were able to award over 100 scholarships.
When will I know if I’ve been accepted?
We will notify all successful applicants by Tuesday 19 March 2024.
